Community Animal Health & Disease Prevention Collaborative
Because of Brucey is a veterinarian-directed, women-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in South Louisiana specializing in neonatal kittens, critical care, panleukopenia treatment, congenital abnormalities, and other medically fragile animals. Since our founding in August 2024, we have saved more than 500 lives while building one of the region's few neonatal-focused organization and critical care programs.
In addition to rescue and rehabilitation, we are expanding our work in community access-to-care initiatives, emergency stabilization support for owned pets, youth leadership development, and pet-inclusive disaster preparedness.
