Youth-Led. Life-Saving. Heart-First. 💧🐾
At just 12 years old, Linden Speyrer has already shown more compassion, leadership, and drive than most adults—and we are beyond proud to officially welcome her as our Youth Ambassador, Honorary Board Advisor, and Founding Circle Member at Because of Brucey.
But Linden doesn’t stop there.
Each year for her birthday, instead of asking for gifts, Linden organizes her very own fundraiser—bringing her community together to raise money for spay/neuter programs and donations for local animal rescue organizations. Her heart is huge, and her mission is clear: to give every animal a fighting chance.
This year, she’s launching something even bigger:
Kitty Quenchers — where lemonade meets love.
Kitty Quenchers is a youth-led initiative born from Linden’s compassion and powered by her determination to make a difference. Through lemonade stands, handmade crafts, and community events, Kitty Quenchers raises critical funds to support lifesaving care for orphaned and medically fragile kittens across Acadiana.
What started as one young girl’s dream has become a movement of kindness, inspiring youth everywhere to step up for animals in need.
With every dollar raised, Kitty Quenchers helps:

Provide emergency formula and fluids to dehydrated kittens

Purchase bottles, warming supplies, and vital medications

Support foster families caring for neonatal animals

Spread awareness that kids can make a difference too
But Linden doesn’t just fundraise—she shows up. Whether it’s bottle-feeding newborns through the night, helping transport animals to safety, or comforting fragile kittens in critical care, Linden actively participates in the hands-on lifesaving work of Because of Brucey. Her steady hands, compassionate heart, and natural instinct around animals make her an irreplaceable part of our team.
What truly sets her apart is her passion for educating and empowering other young people. Linden leads by example, showing her peers that you don’t have to wait until you’re grown to make a difference. Through Kitty Quenchers and community outreach, she’s helping build a new generation of animal advocates—one lemonade stand, one life saved, and one inspired heart at a time.
